Drupal For Bulk Email & Surveys

Many have used SimpleNews for list management and delivery of text or HTML email. There's a very useful Webform module that is quite flexible for creating surveys, viewing/sorting data, and exporting it as Excel or CSV.Though I believe it would depend on the frequency of use, as well as the number of emails to manage. Do you plan on delivering a few thousand at at time, or potentially hundreds of thousands or millions? It tends to be a hardware/software issue most of the time for bulk email delivery.
This potential method with Drupal is easy to use for most, and it can be customized to be even easier for any user. However, there are services dedicated to email delivery and surveys like http://www.constantcontact.com and www.verticalresponse.com. I personally use www.mailchimp.com for my own newsletter purposes. If you chose one of these services, there are still modules that integrate nicely with Drupal:"While tools for sending email from your own server, like SimpleNews, are great, they lack the sophistication and ease of use of dedicated email providers like MailChimp. Other players in this field are Constant Contact and Campaign Monitor."
